"Sometimes the devil allows people to live a life free of trouble because he doesn't want them turning to God. Their sin is like a jail cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn't seem to be any reason to leave. The door is wide open. 'Til one day, time runs out, and the cell door slams shut, and suddenly it's too late."

- Lenore Banks in the role of Mina's Mother, from the movie God's Not Dead

It's so important to not only realize that we need God, but to remember why we need Him.  He is our Creator, our Savior our everything.  We are nothing apart from God.  Even as believers, it is foolish to think that all we need to do is accept Him as Lord and Savior, but then live the rest of our lives on our own.   Acts 17:28 says:

For in him we live, and move, and have our being.

In other words, our very existence and purpose are found in God and God alone.

Society today prides itself on independence.  The capability of each individual to be anything and everything they want or desire to be.  As Christians, we must remember that our true identity, worth, existence, and purpose stem from God.  And we need to include Him in every aspect of our lives in order to truly be successful.

You may not be doubting your faith or turning your back on God.  But, don't allow the devil, society, or other non-Christian influence to get you to 'water down' your faith either.

Lets not forget who God is, what He has done for us and what He promised He will do.  For its in times like these that we should be clinging to and standing up for our faith more and more!

And in case you haven't seen the movie, God's Not Dead, referenced from the quote above - check out the clips below - its definitely worth the watch.

Sometimes the devil has a way of making our lives so comfortable that we develop a mindset in which we think we don\'t need God.
