In the Mirror of God is a place for Christians to learn how to love God’s Word and enjoy life to the fullest!

open bible with light radiating from it

Unfortunately, we live in a world today where there is little to no interest in learning the bible.

The bible is depicted as being outdated, fictional, having little value, and to some, completely irrelevant The sad part, is that those of us who profess to be Christians are adapting to that same line of thinking, without even realizing it.

The bible is the written word of God.  Our true guidebook to life. Without looking into it regularly, we will miss out on so many blessings that God has for us.

Christians today are spending the bulk of their time on Facebook, watching TV, surfing the internet, and posting on Instagram.  In the process, we are allowing society to rob us of our time with God.

Devotions, prayer, bible study and church fellowship have become things we do in our spare time, when things get tough, or when we need something from God.  And even when we do seek Him, we look in all the wrong places.

The devil certainly is pleased with what has become the So-Called Christian Life.”

Who Am I?

My name is Demetra (Deme) Muingbeh.

I love God and I love His Word. My greatest passion is to share Him with others and encourage my fellow Christians in their daily journey with Him. I’ve been through highs, lows, ups and downs, grief, depression, heartache and pain, just as much as the next person. But through it all, God has done so much in my life that I can’t keep it to myself! He’s the reason I breathe, the reason I move, the reason I wake up with a purpose each day. Even on the worst of days, He’s never left my side.

Why I Do What I Do?

In 2014 God gave me a vision in the form of a concept: In the Mirror of God’s Word. It is with that vision in mind that I created this blog geared towards teaching my fellow Christians how to enjoy the life that Jesus died for us to have, by learning and loving the Word of God.

quote of John 10:10

It pains me more than anything to see a miserable ChristianJesus didn’t die on the cross for us to just co-exist on earth with everyone else, until we die. He died so that we would experience and enjoy true life in Him.

I refuse to believe, that what God intended for us, looks anything like what we have made Christianity to be today. Miserable, sad, depressed, worried, stressed, angry, bitter, jealous, unforgiving and unloving Christians are all around us.  We barely even realize it, as most of us have become so accustomed to it that it actually seems normal. All because we have strayed away from the basic foundation of our Christianity – the Word of God.

Show me a miserable Christian and I guarantee he/she spends very little time reading the bible.

My utmost goal is to teach Christians about how vital God’s Word is in order to be successful in the Christian life.

I will even boldly say, that we will NEVER truly enjoy life the way God intended us to, without spending time in His Word. #GodsWord #learningthebible #enjoyinglife #inthemirrorofGod

Professional & Personal Life

I was born and raised in Richmond, VA.

I graduated with a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn University) in 2001. I have been working with churches and non-profit organizations in an administrative capacity for the past 20 years and have a passion for teaching, training, and coaching in general.

Apart from ministry, my professional background includes over 15 years of experience in sales, customer service, billing, insurance and financial services.
